Find Your Passion With These Surprisingly Simple Tips

We all have a lot of interests and sometimes it can be difficult to select which one to pursue. So, here’s how you can begin to narrow in on your true passion to ensure that you end up in an area you’ll truly love.

Finding your passion can be difficult. This is especially true if you’re someone like me who enjoys trying new things all the time and really just wants to do it all haha!

Obviously, this doesn’t help us to narrow in on area we can be passionate about though. Sometimes we just need a little bit of help to narrow down that list so we can be both happy and successful! And that is exactly what I’m hoping to provide you with today with this article.

But before we get started…

Here are Some Potentially Useful Products I Found For You!

Successful Happiness is a step-by-step guide written by Dr. William Dickerson to help everyone move towards finding their passion.

Who I’d Recommend This To: I’d recommend this product for those of you who are looking to have someone guide you through the process of finding your passion as well as providing you with insightful advice about adjusting your attitude and mindset to align with that passion.

Despite not having personally used “The How to Find Your Passion and Purpose Companion Workbook” I figured I’d include it as I’ve seen it used to great success!

I’d Recommend This For: Those looking to explore and clarify their passions, interests, and life purpose
so that they can begin building a strong foundation for happiness and success.

Additionally, this product makes a great case for why you should pursue, as opposed to ignoring, your passions.

Ok, now let’s get into my process for finding your passion…

List Your Passions

This is the initial list that we will be working with to find your passion. This list could literally include anything. An example list is included below:

1) Healthcare
2) Reading
3) Blogging
4) Exercise
5) Wellness
6) Nutrition
7) Research
8) Motivation
9) Fashion
10) Meditation
11) Philosophy
12) Balanced Living

… And this list could go on for as long as you would like.

Briefly Explore Your Passions

Now that we have a list set up it is time to start crossing things off of that list. This will help you narrow these topics down and find your passion. I’d like to emphasize here that there is no right or wrong way to go about crossing things off of this list. It really is done at your discretion, based on criteria you set out.

For example, maybe I decide that I want to become a blogger so I start narrowing down my above example list based on blogging topic criteria, or maybe I decide that I want to decide on a career where I can constantly help people, and narrow down based on those relevant criteria.

However, regardless of the criteria you select as the basis for narrowing down your list, you should aim to have 5 or fewer items remaining on the list once you’ve completed this step.

This is because if your list is too broad, it will be difficult for you to really focus in on those interests which are of the most importance and relevance to you. Which will make it harder for you to find your passion.

Seek Guidance & Advice to Help You Find Your Passion

Now that your list has been narrowed down to 5 or fewer items, you should shift your focus to researching those 5 remaining options.

Now most people assume that seeking guidance and advice requires meeting in person, and I know that some of you are shy, so I’m here to save you and tell you that yes, meeting someone who can talk about your area of interest, and who you can as questions is one option.

But you could also simply take to the internet and do some of your own research. Just ensure that your sources are credible (aka. not Wikipedia).

Following your in-depth exploration of these remaining options, aim to narrow your list even further to 2-3 items. Now we’re getting close to finding your passion.

Get Involved

This is our last step we must take to find your passion and it’s a pretty simple one. Find ways to get involved in the few remaining areas on your list.

This could range from just volunteering for a few days to actually trying it out depending on your situation and your desired end result.

Then once you’ve explored your final few options, make a decision and pursue your passion with motivation and determination!

I hope all of you are able to use this article to your advantage. I know you’re a motivated bunch so if you identify your passion leave it below so that we can learn a bit about you and what you’re into!
